Scooby’s life is pretty good. He divides his time between snacking on dry food, napping in cat trees, chasing sparkle balls, and running around with his cat friend, Prince Tuesday. Whenever people walk into the room, he greets them with an eager, excited look that says, “Hi, I’m Scooby! Play with me!” And once you start playing with this big, energetic guy, he’ll keep going until you tire yourself out.
His life is much different now than it was last year, when he was living on the streets. Hanging out in a feral colony in Lincoln Square and eating food that people left out for him, Scooby had a pretty tough life. When he came to Tree House, he had a large abscess on his neck that may have been a bite wound. It was festering and bleeding, causing him a lot of discomfort. After the Tree House staff treated the wound with a hot pack and gave him antibiotics for a couple of weeks, Scooby’s wound healed up nicely.
Now he lives in the Maple colony where he enjoys the good life. He is very much a people-cat and looks forward to visitors. Scooby also gets along well with other cats, so he would make a great addition to a home that already has pets. Even if you’re not looking to adopt, Scooby would love to get a visit from you. Give him some head-rubs and toss a sparkle ball at him and you’ll brighten his day!
